    I am a full time artist mainly working in textiles. I have a degree in Fashion & Textiles from Leicester Polytechnic, but have been working in 'creative textiles' for over 15 years. I have experience of working in the community and in schools, creating large textile installations. I also exhibit my work in various exhibitions and Open Studios. I sell my smaller works at fairs and in galleries.

    I am Tha Blue Cat, an autistic artist. I paint and sculpt the Blue Cat as a symbol of perception and otherness. My work explores neurodivergent identity, isolation, and the fracture of communication, using layered signs, broken words, and backlit materials. I create pictorial and sculptural installations where inner light speaks to external chaos.

In 2025, he won the Collectors' Art Prize - Legends of Our Time Award. In 2020, he won best in show for the International Art Folio 2020 Annual award.     I grew up in the ancient port of Whitby, in northern England which sits between the North Yorkshire Moors and the North Sea.
