    Since my training at Edinburgh College of Art I have been inspired by nature. My mission explores the emotional symbolism of my subject matter and seeks to distil the image to enhance this. I am a slow meditative painter. This process puts me in touch with the healing spirit I inherited from the medics in my family. I want to help people find an inner sense of peace and connection with nature.

    My practice explores the relationship between movement, emotion, and texture through the dual mediums of oil paint and clay. Each piece is an intuitive dialogue between control and spontaneity, a balance that mirrors my personal experience of living with dyspraxia, where creativity becomes both expression and grounding.

    I am a Scottish artist who studied at The Glasgow School of Art. I work primarily in traditional artistic mediums such as drawing and painting.     I create sculpture and art installations using everyday materials and using repetition. My practice is firmly rooted in process art and influenced by postminimalist artists such as Richard Serra and Eva Hesse. I embody difficult thoughts and mental states in physical form. I'm interested in making work that sparks feelings in the viewer before thoughts.

    I am a sculptor whose work investigates identity and the way we portray this in the world through the forms of our clothing and our architecture. Both are seen as metaphors for the body and for human experience. I have been investigating this relationship for 20 years. Franky's works aim to explore the innermost self and its place in contemporary society.
