    I have spent most of my life working as a nurse. However, the urge to paint has always remained.     I am a mixed media artist based in Haworth, West Yorkshire. Upcycling is a theme that runs throughout my work, I have well established jewellery range my earrings and pendants with matching Teeny Tiny Tins. My mixed media pieces are all created from vintage finds including sections of printer's trays, mill bobbins and trinket pots. My two main collections feature ferns and bees.

    I am a full time artist mainly working in textiles. I have a degree in Fashion & Textiles from Leicester Polytechnic, but have been working in 'creative textiles' for over 15 years. I have experience of working in the community and in schools, creating large textile installations. I also exhibit my work in various exhibitions and Open Studios. I sell my smaller works at fairs and in galleries.

    I am a teacher of Geography and until a few years ago I never thought I had a creative bone in my body. I then discovered wood turning and the joy of shaping wood as if it was clay. I have rapidly moved away from traditional wood turning and like to use a variety of non-traditional wood and different materials that enhance the wood. I like form and shape inspired by nature.
