    Trained, practiced and taught Graphic Design turned to Printmaking as a main practice since 2017. Concentrated on Linocut initially predominantly 'Reduction'. Recently returned to college for an Adult learning Printmaking course and introduced to Tetrapak, Drypoint, Aquatint and other Intaglio processes which has expanded my outlook on many other possibilities and approaches.

    Yewbowart (Yvonne Cavens) is a Scottish artist based in Kelso. Working exclusively in A5 sketchbooks, her practice is private, sustainable, and process-led.     Mary Rouncefield works as a freelance artist, having graduated as a mature student from the University of the West of England, in 2009. She has exhibited extensively in UK and abroad.     Noémie Soula (France/UK) is an artist and researcher using storytelling and craft as creative tools to explore biotechnologies, genetics, and the relationship between humans and non-humans.     I started out in art creating pencil pet portraits for friends and family. When these proved popular, I branched out and began experimenting with a variety of media, and a variety of subjects. I am always learning, and thoroughly enjoying the process. I decided to take the plunge and set up a website for my art earlier in 2025.

    My practice centres on ceramics. Clay is mineral, elemental and millions of years old. A humbling material - it has a memory, just like us. I am inspired by the chaos of oxides, the magic of a kiln opening and leaning into the unknown.

    I trained and worked as a primary teacher early on in my career, before motherhood took over and I took time to raise my family. I returned to work as a teaching assistant and supply teacher part time, before I took the plunge and embarked on an access course in art and design. I haven't looked back since, gaining a BA, followed by an MA in Fine Art, and I am at present continuing my research.
