    My practice explores the relationship between movement, emotion, and texture through the dual mediums of oil paint and clay.     My work touches on themes of belonging, mythology, memory, identity and the female gaze. In my creative practice, I enjoy exploring the symbolism behind water, waterlilies, lotus flowers, landscapes and the female body. I believe that my mixed heritage has been a rich source of material to work with, as I experiment with oil paint and mixed media on canvas.

    Derby based artist Nicki Dennett creates multi-layered, mixed media prints inspired by life around her. Nicki’s continual observation of her environment and an appreciation of all aspects of existence inspire her work. Research and development of materials are key to my work and continually filling sketchbooks are often the idea basis for my handmade prints.

    Hannah Honeywill is an award-winning artist, she has exhibited widely throughout the UK and Europe, she has been the recipient of Wellcome Trust funding and has undertaken residencies at the Barber Institute of Fine Art in Birmingham and the Chisenhale Studios in London. She is an elected member of the Royal British Society of Sculptors.

    I am a textile artist living near the coast and influenced by the rough weather and the wonderful colours of the sea and the moors . I have a studio -- The Black Cat studio and like to do series of works based on the landscape and the seasons . Also climate change , with a big collection now of felted wall hangings all depicting the effects of weather patterns.

    My passion is for fabric and stitch, my background in illustration, fashion and hand-embroidery. Recently my practice has grown using new methodologies to create large-scale installations and interactions. My work is generous and inclusive, acting like a type of therapy, offered to the viewer with gentle humour. Methods I use are traditionally craft related, all familiar childhood activities.
