    Recent graduate of a first class degree in BA (Hons) Fine Art at the Northern School of Art. I enjoy the process of investigating landscape via graphite, paint, photography and collage. I absolutely love being on location with a sketchbook and pencil. I am Interested in the emotional, historical and environmental aspects of the landscape that give my work purpose and warmth.

    I have lived and walked in both urban & natural environments from London to Staffordshire and currently near Nottingham. In 2015 I completed an MA in Fine Art, through using my culture of walking, and I’m inspired by ‘edgeland’ landscapes. Drawing on the materiality of landscape, and with techniques such as frottage I consider notions around ‘mapping’ and the ‘reality’ of what we see

    I love experimenting with light sensitive materials and various chemistry to push boundaries of what analogue photography can do to feed my creative side. I find joy in trying out new things in the darkroom and jumping from one photographic process into another; Lith, Mordançage, Pinhole Camera, Cyanotype, Wet Plate Collodion, Tintype - you name it, I'll do it :D

    I’m a textile artist using the ancient craft of feltmaking and other fabrics to create unique, organic designs. I’m inspired by the natural world, by subverting traditional forms and putting my own ideas into practice. I think my insight into the human psyche through my experience as a psychotherapist is also something that I bring into my work.

    I am an Artist, whose life and inspiration has always been drawn to the sea - Creating Abstract, Art Photography inspired by the sea.     Working with a range of materials I develop surfaces through sensory expressions, that evolve into portraits and landscapes. These become dynamic and intimate works that emerge from gestural mark making and experimentation with pigments and grounds. Self-portraits begin with a process of tactile observation of my own face. Landscapes are documented through sketches on site throughout the seasons.
