    My practice is one of continuous transition & evolution. My current paintings explore ideas around the passing of time; the repetitive brush marks act as a visual representation of transience - counting out moments one by one. By repeating & building layers of marks, they create a pattern. The pattern, in turn, forms rhythmic motifs and forms that can be read as macro or micro views of the world.

    I work from Yorkshire Artspace, Sheffield. My sculpture & installation practice uses steel wire, salvaged materials & writing to explore invisibility, voicelessness & the politics of periphery. By refusing tidy coherence, my work becomes embodied communication supporting marginalised narratives, tracing links between historical & contemporary silencing, & challenging expectations of expression.

    Scarlett is a watercolourist and mixed media artist. Born in North Yorkshire (1990) she continues to be inspired by the landscapes around her in the Yorkshire Dales, painting the rolling hills and moors, burnt heathers, moss covered drystone walls and ancient neolithic sites that are littered throughout the landscape.

    I work with site-responsive installation, photography and video using light, space and wind and am inspired by the ordinary, the everyday and the need to find meaning in our lives.     I am a trained textile and surface pattern designer and have been fortunate to have travelled extensively to which has inspired the majority of my art work. I enjoy working with multimedia and utilising digital technology for the final piece. I am inspired by the combination of colourways in landscapes, nature and abstract imagery.
