My work is grounded in the observation of moments in life. I want to make pieces that connect with and speak of our human existence, particularly mapping under-represented aspects of female lives. My work takes a range of forms depending upon my inspiration.

Her creative process is still all about making connections, incorporating found objects and materials, using low tech methods of construction to create abstract, geometric assemblages that reference domestic and architectural space.

I am a teacher of Geography and until a few years ago I never thought I had a creative bone in my body. I then discovered wood turning and the joy of shaping wood as if it was clay. I have rapidly moved away from traditional wood turning and like to use a variety of non-traditional wood and different materials that enhance the wood. I like form and shape inspired by nature.

My current work reflects a lifelong love of nature and environment that began growing up on the very edges of a small Norfolk town where the fields and country lanes were my playground. Intimate pencil drawings depict the landscape and nature of the East Anglian countryside . Intricate, atmospheric and sometimes dramatic, my work looks to highlight the beauty and fragility of the natural world.

I am a contemporary figurative sculptor, with a passion for conveying energy, tension and movement in my pieces. Human forms and wildlife feature heavily in my work, and I aim to capture the spirit and essence of each subject I sculpt, employing both clay and the lost wax method. I am self-taught, including researching and building a small-scale bronze foundry.

I am a British artist and designer working in London. I studied Art and Aesthetics at Cardiff (UWIC), and MA Book Arts at Camberwell College (UAL), graduating 2001. I combine traditional skills of observational drawing with digital design to create educational charts and maps, usually in the form of prints (digital or screen), and often with a subversive or humorous undertone.

I’m a Yorkshire based textile artist specialising in embroidery. I work in my home studio by the sea in Scarborough. Using fabric and thread, I create textile drawings and objects that tell stories. These stories often have an autobiographical theme, exploring mental health and personal memories.
