    Kelly Boyle works with an automatic drawing process, allowing freedom to explore playfully whilst connecting to different levels of emotion and consciousness. Predominantly using ink, acrylics, and pyrography. The collections change organically with the artists' personal experiences, reflecting their inner world and what is absorbed within external surroundings.

    Since my training at Edinburgh College of Art I have been inspired by nature. My mission explores the emotional symbolism of my subject matter and seeks to distil the image to enhance this.     My visual arts practice derives from a sense of place and community anchored in politics and experiences of a working-class background. Printing offers me the materiality and medium to experiment with images of strength and violence, representing tactile anger in keeping with present times. I make woodcuts, lino and wood engraving, as well as the traditional medium of etching and aquatint.
