    I am a ceramist who uses unorthodox methods in my work, also I use mixed mediums in the ceramics They are all hand made and glazed. My work is unique as every piece is different and I only make one. My heads have lots of features and need to be seen by the eye to appreciate the details.     I am a graphic designer and a visual artist. I work mostly in oil on canvas but work sometimes with acrylic and water colour. Most of my recent paintings were influenced political and social upheaval of our world today and the works of the Renaissance artists. I do not like artworks to be just for decoration but to evoke feelings.

    I am a teacher of Geography and until a few years ago I never thought I had a creative bone in my body. I then discovered wood turning and the joy of shaping wood as if it was clay. I have rapidly moved away from traditional wood turning and like to use a variety of non-traditional wood and different materials that enhance the wood. I like form and shape inspired by nature.

    After an initial career as a Systems Analyst, I studied Visual Arts (Salford University), 2004, then an M.A. in Textiles/Fashion (Manchester Metropolitan University) 2005. My studio is at Rogue Artists’ Studios CIC, Manchester. I am a member of the artist collective , A Small Space. My project ‘We View Things Differently Now' was ACE DYCP funded in 2021. My work has been exhibited widely.
