    I have a passion for watercolour, pastel of wildlife botanical animal and more recently jewellery making . Over 10 years ago I was medically retired from the NHS with a Neurological condition so I picked up a pencil and started from there and have never stopped. I have done a few craft fairs in North Yorkshire where I'm from . I have now moved to Surrey are and I want to continue here with fairs.

    I am a conceptual artist based in London. I moved to London from Ukraine in 2001 and have been a part of Studio Fridays until 2022. I am self taught and draw my inspiration from the connection between humans and nature, exploring transience, change, grief, loss and ageing. I am the Ambassador of Arts 4 Dementia & run community workshop for people with dementias.

    As a child I loved to draw and paint, and as an adult would loved to have had the time to follow it up. However, work and family kept me busy. When I retired I promised myself I would join an art class and take it seriously. Though I don't hold a degree, I am still being very well taught, by excellent professional teachers .,so you are never too old to learn about something you love doing.

Specialising in textile and installation work, Rachel is particularly interested in artwork that involves the viewer, creating an immersive experience.     I am a woodcarver, artificer and artisan pictorial sign maker. My sculpture is often for memorials, both for highly personal private remembrance and for Public Spaces. All my work is concerned with sustainability, climate change and environmental responsibility. My work has been exhibited widely in the UK and online.     I am a London based artist who uses photography, digital manipulation, and sound to create images, video, and installations. Searching beneath the surface by unpacking the layers that we keep secure is a fundamental aspect of my work.
