    Yimou Huang’s practice-based PhD from Dundee University explores the divergent influences of Chinese Taoism and Western Eco-Feminist thought on contemporary global art. It centers on the material aspects of dynamic forces, such as gravity, wind, and erosion. Yimou is particularly interested in transformational processes and their relation to traditional Chinese views on matter (stone, clay, wood)

    My pieces are born out of the necessity to understand the inner self and to express emotions beyond words. Each work delves into the macabre and the sinister, juxtaposed against the beauty of nature.     Nick Malone crosses art forms to create mysteries and stories through paintings, drawings, artist’s books and podcasts. Initially a writer, he abandoned his former life to become a full-time artist. I completed an AA in art before emigrating to London, settling, working as a professional seamstress, and having 2 boys 18 years apart (1983, 2001). Acquired a BA in Interior Architecture in 2000. My art and craft has emerged and evolved in various forms and waves across the 40+ years I've lived here.
