    Since my training at Edinburgh College of Art I have been inspired by nature. My mission explores the emotional symbolism of my subject matter and seeks to distil the image to enhance this. I am a slow meditative painter. This process puts me in touch with the healing spirit I inherited from the medics in my family.     Having studied Fine Art at Reading University my passion to share my love for sculpture and ceramics led me to later graduate from Edge Hill University as a teacher of art and design. After 13 years teaching sculpture, ceramics, and fine art to pre-degree students, sharing my time between artist and educator, I now work as a full-time ceramic artist in my garden studio in West Lancashire.

    Ebru Clegg was born in Istanbul, Turkey. She embraced different cultures by travelling through Europe and living in Geneva for several years in the 2000’s. While she was living in Istanbul, she had the pleasure of working with numerous international art galleries (Turkish, French, British and German) to exhibit her work. She moved to the UK and built her own studio and had started work.

    I am a London-based artist working across analogue and digital processes to explore connections between labour, race and technology.
