    Born in Cape Town, South Africa, I was moving countries from an early age. Much of my childhood was spent in the Middle East and later England for boarding school. Living in between cultures and diverse landscapes has heavily influenced my work. I have settled in rural Gloucestershire, UK, where I use my practise to respond to my surroundings, mainly through photography, film and print making.

    With 20 years of puppetry performance, my practice is centred on a somatic exploration of the philosophy of manipulation and being, facillitated through water and the elements. Integrating somatic practice, philosophy, manipulation of objects and environmental awareness, my performative art practice challenges conventional investigative methodology by exploring the limits of puppetry and thought.

We met whilst studying for M.A. Fine Art at Sheffield Hallam University and discovered that we hold shared ideas and concerns.     Sally is an artist and curator. She studied as a mature student at Central Saint Martins, graduating in 2017. Her work has been shown in Canada, China, London and other parts of the UK. Sally has curated a number of shows of work by emerging artists in Scarborough and London. In 2021 Sally moved back to Scarborough and is now Chair of Scarborough Studios/Old Parcels Office Artspace.

    Leena McCall is an award winning artist, working predominantly in oil. Her work explores portraiture and the female form beyond the male gaze. After completing an HNC in Fine Art in London, Leena continued her art studies at the Charles Cecil Studios in Florence going on to work in Berlin and is now based in Stamford, Lincolnshire, UK.
