I originally trained as a ceramic designer with a BA (hons) from Loughborough. I had my range of tableware in a number of specialist interior shops but more recently I have been working in mixed media and mosaic. I live in Nottinghamshire at the edge of Sherwood Forest. The main theme of my work has always been to question our concept of ‘taste’ - what we find esthetic and valuable and why.

I'm a visual artist based on the Northumberland coastline. Growing up close to this landscape induced a deep connection to the tidal space. A horizon line was often drawn across the surface of formative works, this delineation of space felt reassuring - it still does.
