Clarke studied archaeological sciences and is fascinated with the past, a time when nature would have been awe inspiring and terrifying in equal measure. Viking ships sailing through frozen landscapes, small boats caught in a storm, the Morrigan from celtic mythology and many other visions from the past can be found in the artist's work.

I'm a painter living & working in County Kildare, Ireland. I feature native Irish plants in my work. I'm not that kind of a botanical artist that works to a strict scientific discipline. Rather I describe the beautiful forms and colours of these plants to convey an emotion or a message. My aim is to capture the essence of these plants within their natural environment.

A visual artist using photography and video interested in exploring history past present and future. Passionate about our environment, walking studies outside in the open. The landscape continually draws me, it affects and shapes my being. Gathering information, visualizing new approaches to my practice, collaborating with other artists which is part of my working practice.
