I am a graphic designer and a visual artist. I work mostly in oil on canvas but work sometimes with acrylic and water colour. Most of my recent paintings were influenced political and social upheaval of our world today and the works of the Renaissance artists. I do not like artworks to be just for decoration but to evoke feelings.

I work predominantly with sculpture and installation, which is often site-responsive. Variations in scale are used to explore physical and psychological spaces in connection with aspects of the human condition, and the associated vulnerabilities that can entail. Resultant pieces are, at times, playful, while at others can be emotive or thought provoking.

I graduated as a very mature student from Leeds College of Art in 2018 with a 1st Class in Fine Art Honours. My work centres around figuration But aligns to a degree of abstraction in that my figures are not wholly defined but do have an identity and relationship to each other. This degree of ambiguity leaves space for the viewer to allow their own interpretation.

I am particularly interested in creating conflict between what enters the machine and what leaves it. By manipulating data to create ambiguities within the certainties of the digital realm, it's possible to breed uncertainty from the usually reassuring definite of binary data and letting repetition and replication take form as a rhythm from the space in-between the known and unknown.
