    Through my work I want to explore the mythological representation of women and how stories have been influenced and reengineered by patriarchy. How women have been written out of folklore and how stories have been changed to fit in with this ideology.

Her work embraces slowness through a process based practice, offering moments of quiet calm in a rushed and noisy world.     Sue is a contemporary yorkshire based artist gaining a Diploma in Fine Art, Jacob Kramer, 1993. BA Honours Degree in Art and Design at Bradford College In 1997. Exhibitions since; most notables The Royal Academy Summer Show 2024, Royal Cambrian 2023. Primarily Sue uses oil paint, to draw out intangible moments from specific memories.     Recent graduate of a first class degree in BA (Hons) Fine Art at the Northern School of Art. I enjoy the process of investigating landscape via graphite, paint, photography and collage.
