    Hi My name is Tony Cooney i’m based in Stockton on Tees. I’m a self taught artist and work predominantly in Oul Pastels on paper. I also like to use recycled cardboard such as old Amazon envelopes and the outer hardbacks of artist pads. I also work in charcoal and oil/acrylics.

    Sophia Rosenthal was shortlisted for the Contemporary British Painting Prize 2024, and won The Judith Tucker Memorial Prize selected by Lubaina Himid, Griselda Pollock and Harriet Tarlo. Graduating with a Distinction in MA Fine Art at City & Guilds of London Art School, Sophia subsequently won the Standpoint Artist Residency Prize 2024 which culminated in a solo show, 'Golden Hour' 2025.

    My practice explores the relationship between movement, emotion, and texture through the dual mediums of oil paint and clay. Each piece is an intuitive dialogue between control and spontaneity, a balance that mirrors my personal experience of living with dyspraxia, where creativity becomes both expression and grounding.

    Julie Dawson/Gledhill is a retired teacher of Art and Design Technology. She was born and still resides in Wakefield West Yorkshire. Julie is a keen photographer and uses her camera to inspire her art. One of Julie’s favourite places to visit is the Yorkshire coast and this is reflected in her work.
