    I am an artist predominately concerned with post war architecture, it's inherent ideology, aesthetics, structural forms and the effects it has upon its inhabitants.     I am a visual artist, based near the Lizard peninsular in Cornwall. My practice encompasses painting, film, installation and engagement.     I am an artist based in Cumbria, originally from South Yorkshire. My main focus within my art practice is to create sculptural artworks by recreating and repurposing items and materials that I collect, source and find. I also explore the use of other materials (such as wire, etc), other art practices (such as ink drawings, etc) and the making of decorative goods.

    I have been doing abstract art since the beginning of 2023, as a recovering alcoholic (sober for over 10 years now) I use my art as a way of expressing my innermost feelings without having to speak a single word about them. I see my paintings as a screenshot of my soul at that particular moment in time.

    Kate Jennings is a Leeds-based multidisciplinary artist with a Master’s in Fine Art. Rooted in expression, her practice explores emotion as a form of release and reflection. Initially focused on screen printing and protest, her work shifted after a personal loss in 2023.     The canvas is a place of experimentation and learning, light is centeral to all my Painting. I like breaking down information to its structure, I hope to express feelings or memories but I have no pre-determined outcome in mind. I let the painting unfold using Acrylic paint, sand and gold foil, Im aiming to capture light and space in its physical sense.
