    I am a textile artist and PhD researcher working with experimental knitting and textile systems. My practice is informed by posthuman design thinking and nature-inspired processes, focusing on how textiles emerge through the interaction of materials, machines and environmental conditions, shaping form, movement and material qualities.

    My material-led practice includes sculpture, textiles and painting. I studied Sculpture at Chelsea College of Art, and History of Art & French at UCL.     Based in the UK East Midlands, I became a full time artist in 2019. Semi abstract in nature, my work combines a fine art background and a long held fascination with wood in all forms. Sustainability underpins my practice; resource management and contributing to art communities is very important to me.     I make handmade jewellery in silver and 18ct gold and a wide range of precious stones, with textures and patterns drawn from close up images of beetles, their wing cases, articulated legs, antennae and focus sing on their jewel like qualities. My work also finds inspiration from landscapes where I create jewellery, prints and small paintings inspired by the landscapes of Iceland and Sweden.
