    Sam Haynes started her practice over twenty five years ago creating site specific public art installations, engaging local communities. Her creative process is still all about making connections, incorporating found objects and materials, using low tech methods of construction to create abstract, geometric assemblages that reference architectural space.

    Yewbowart (Yvonne Cavens) is a Scottish artist born in Dumfries in 1972. A self-taught creative from a young age, she began drawing horses in oil paints and pastels as a child, developing a deep, intuitive connection with visual storytelling. Her work now blends abstract realism with a touch of whimsy, often inspired by the landscapes, heritage, and spirit of Scotland.

    I became a full-time Artist and Illustrator in 2012 after working for around 20 years in multimedia, E-learning and then corporate communications. Originally brought up on the East Yorkshire coast, I'm based in my home studio in the beautiful city of York now, working primarily in mixed media: painting, drawing and printmaking.

When making work she thinks about how changing the context of space can relocate it into a new spectrum of reference. Her work is deeply embedded in the appropriation of images and material.     I have taken pictures throughout my life. My Dad was a keen photographer so we often shared our images, giving us a common interest. I enjoy landscape, abstract or anything that catches my eye.     I am a designer maker working often in ceramics. I see the beauty in the broken, overlooked and discarded. My latest work was using fully fired ceramics that were in the bin and, crushing these up, I put them inside jesmonite sculptures. I want to highlight the moments in our lives where we feel broken, worthless and discarded... in order to remind us we are strong and valuable.

    I qualified with a BA in Fine Art in 1982 and after a career in FE and HE I retired early in 2018. I make paintings and sculpture based on real and remembered landscapes presented together to suggest non-linear narratives. In 2004 I took timeout to study an MA in Creative Technology working with 3d modelling and real/virtual environments reflecting the superimposition of memory over place.
