    Demi is a northern British contemporary abstract artist, who has lived across industrial towns and northern countryside. Demi's artwork is fuelled by these contrasting environments, her work is primarily climate focused, forming both abstract landscape and animal paintings using mixed media.     I am a travel photographer with over 40 years experience. My work is very real, never contrived or retouched, only using natural light and careful composition. I'm never happier then when in the chaos of a new city searching for new images. I create my own limited edition Giclée prints which are mounted and signed. I continues to travel and add to the collection regularly.

    As a studio-based painter I rely on photographic images. These are often those found on social media or then internet. As a gay man I am also interested in exploring the multiplicity of images and ideals we are presented with and redefining the idea of masculinity. My work explores narrative, colour, line, composition, and mark-making to evoke an emotion or develop the narrative within an image.

    I am a painter who is interested in people, places, objects and groups in society. My role as a teacher informs my work and I often respond to my immediate environment. Painting offers a special opportunity to combine imagery, technique and art historical references to tell stories and suggest ideas.     Derby based artist Nicki Dennett creates multi-layered, mixed media prints inspired by life around her. Nicki’s continual observation of her environment and an appreciation of all aspects of existence inspire her work. Research and development of materials are key to my work and continually filling sketchbooks are often the idea basis for my handmade prints.
