    I am a visual artist, based near the Lizard peninsular in Cornwall. My practice encompasses painting, film, installation and engagement. I am currently collaborating with a dance artist and a filmmaker creating intallations that use sound score, film and visual arts to explore story and history.

    My passion is for fabric and stitch, my background in illustration, fashion and hand-embroidery. Recently my practice has grown using new methodologies to create large-scale installations and interactions. My work is generous and inclusive, acting like a type of therapy, offered to the viewer with gentle humour. Methods I use are traditionally craft related, all familiar childhood activities.

    A painting practice where images emerge from reused palette surfaces, testing how little information is needed for a figure to appear.     I am currently producing work that is a a combination of paintings and mixed media relief pieces that combine embroidery, paper clay, precious metal clay, paper, watercolour, ink and found objects. Each piece is accompanied with a poem about and as a response to the physical work. I also work as a development librarian.
