    Sam is an interdisciplinary inspired by movement. Sam’s work researches, creates and reflects on the concept of what they refer to as ‘choreographic objects. A ‘choreographic object’ is any work Sam creates that has, through the process of making or in the way it looks, a relationship to the body and movement. Sam has a studio at the Art House Wakefield.

    I am a free-lance arts facilitator and artist living and working in Penryn, Cornwall. I work with several professional bodies and groups including Falmouth Art Gallery, The Eden Project, Truro City of Lights, Royal Cornwall Museum and more as well as schools and home education groups.     I am a multi-disciplinary artist, having first trained in graphic design. From painting large works in acrylic, through learning the art of watercolour, immersing myself in urban sketching and screenprinting, and having facilitated numerous varied community-based art sessions, I now mainly focus on digital art.

    I am primarily a painter, based in the east of England. I apply the philosophy of collage to the materials of painting. Since graduating from Chelsea College of Arts M A course in 1998 I have worked with an archive of materials generated in the studio ( canvas offcuts and dried films/puddles/fragments of paint) to construct images from imagination and memory.
