My ceramic sculptures possess a strong voice and, and a bold narrative about contrast, visual drama and playfulness. They are visually and haptically exciting. Through my work I want to explore the mythological representation of women and how stories have been influenced and reengineered by patriarchy. How women have been written out of folklore and how stories have been changed to fit in with this ideology.

Blending theory with pop culture references, Redacted creates bold, visually striking work that invites audiences in, exploring "the unseen, unspoken and unexpected stories that lie beneath and between written words”. A rejection of elitism and perfectionism ,whilst making space for wider engagement with arts and ideas.

I am a London based artist who uses photography, digital manipulation, and sound to create images, video, and installations. Searching beneath the surface by unpacking the layers that we keep secure is a fundamental aspect of my work. Often nostalgic, sometimes beautifully melancholic, I make tender unsettling images drawn from my reflections of human behaviour.

Since my training at Edinburgh College of Art I have been inspired by nature. My mission explores the emotional symbolism of my subject matter and seeks to distil the image to enhance this. I am a slow meditative painter. This process puts me in touch with the healing spirit I inherited from the medics in my family. I want to help people find an inner sense of peace and connection with nature.

My practice operates at the intersection of Neo-Expressionism and Pop art, fusing raw street art aesthetics with supernatural iconography and the historic subversion of Polari slang. This multidisciplinary visual vocabulary serves a singular purpose: to document the contemporary queer narrative across its triumphs, systemic setbacks, and the friction of daily existence.
