    Exploring the exciting properties of encaustic beeswax has been my passion for several years. First used by Ancient Egyptians as a painting medium, it saw a resurgence last century and has continued to flourish. Still relatively unknown in Europe, but once discovered, never forgotten. When I first took up my brush and dipped it into molten wax and pigment I knew I was hooked!

    I am an artist and designer living and working in York, UK. I grew up on the edge of Dartmoor and studied fine art, illustration and graphic design in Exeter and York. My paintings and drawings explore wild natural landscapes through instinctive and expressive mark-making and enquiry into colour, and have been exhibited in England and Wales.

    Having been an artist since I was little, I practised properly as a professional artist since 2020. I studied at Dumfries and Galloway college doing Art and Design at HND level I went on to study at home on self portraits, I practise daily my technique and my love for the female form. I was a model between 16-25 years old, and have the same outlook that the female body is beautiful.

    I'm a writer and artist working across multiple media. I am the creator of The Infinity of Lists, an ongoing project in which I curate and create inventive, curious lists.     Matt Hooper is a self-taught professional linocut printmaker, working from his studio in Leeds. He makes linocut prints following both the traditional Japanese Woodblock style and more contemporary linocut methods, a reflection of his passions for both subjects. His practice combines elements of science and mathematics, these factors are critical in realising his uniquely abstract forms, where artistic form is generated from data-sets.     I've been working in education as a technician in various guises for over ten years. This has given me a wealth of knowledge and encounters that crosses specialist subject areas and allows me to bring in processes from different specialism into my art practice. I am currently undertaking my Masters in History of Design run jointly by the RCA and V&A.
