    Ex Army Father of two beautiful girls and I work as a HGV driver in the UK. I got into art literally by accident, after a work place accident and recovering at home ,I took up pyrography to take my mind off the recovery. Since then and work permitting I do my art when I can. Only having weekends off from the road I love to dive into a piece for hours on end, the smell and sound is fantastic.

    Lesley Wood is an award winning mixed media textile artist with a Fine Art degree. Her hand embroidered work has been widely exhibited in the U.K. and abroad. Her hand embroidery often has a narrative being created from reclaimed cloth, vintage domestic fabrics and ephemera. Subject matter includes portraits, figures and birds.     East Yorkshire based visual communicator, and sculptor. My work focuses on colour, the natural world, and how plants connect with us. I work in whatever materials I can afford/acquire including digital drawing often incorporating handwritten lettering. My current focus for my practice is communicating the importance of our relationship with the natural environment.

    I am primarily a painter, based in the east of England. I apply the philosophy of collage to the materials of painting. Since graduating from Chelsea College of Arts M A course in 1998 I have worked with an archive of materials generated in the studio ( canvas offcuts and dried films/puddles/fragments of paint) to construct images from imagination and memory.

    Since retirement, I work with textiles most days. I use a lot of up cycled materials and apply paint and stitch to tell a story. I also volunteer with Guide Dogs for the Blind, Scotland. We foster lovely pups, giving them a cosy home as they go through their training.

    Nesta Pilkington is the working name of Suzy Maxwell MA (Falmouth 2006). A main concept of the work is a love of animals, who they are and how they touch our lives. Where we and they 'meet' is a sort of cross-species connection. It is a spiritual connection and when they inevitably die, we feel it as an unbelievably deep loss. The sculptures are an interpretation of this inter-relationship.
