I have always loved liminal moments and have spent a lot of my art career trying to grasp, express, explore it and what I understand that to mean. It surfaces in landscape, moments of beauty, melancholy perhaps, in the figure as moments of being slightly removed, distant, ambiguous. Consequently I dont feel constrained to a particular medium and am happy with paint photography print and clay

I am a ceramic artist based in York (UK), specialising in handbuilding. I make groups of tall sculptural vessels, inspired by the still life paintings of Georgio Morandi (1890-1964) and finished in a restrained pallet of greys, cream, charcoal and spice.

I am an artist and designer living and working in York, UK. My paintings and drawings explore the natural environment and the human form, and are often elemental, instinctive and textural. Inspired by movement, shifting light and changing weather conditions, I aim to capture the character and uniqueness of people and place. I work in acrylic, oils, graphite, charcoal, ink and watercolour.

My practice confronts the increasingly unstable device of the image and its impact on delivering a coherent understanding of our global condition. My work takes the form of a video installation to address the physical and virtual position that the image ambiguously navigates. Alongside my practice, I am also part of Dank Collective- a collective exploring performance, video, and online platforms.
