    A recent MA Graduate interested in colour, the way light and movement/scale change perception of colour. Inspired by the principles of Reuse/Recycle, Permaculture Gardening, I'm a 'magpie', exploring 'something from nothing', time passing during a process. Each body of work I produce is varied but I'm looking at the same factors; how colour and light affects (inside/outside) things.

    Drawing for me is an act of understanding, love and acceptance. My work incorporates representation of internal states through gestures and mark making. My degree in psychology and my former career in social care and health are influences and I am interested in learning and developing a practice and methodology that can provide emotional and physical as well as cultural enrichment.

    At 35 I have experienced the world as a medical doctor, a woman with fertility issues, a mother and a human with an emotional response to the realities of life. I am now in a place where I want to use my experiences as a doctor to influence my art; invoking thought to instigate change.
