My practice revolves around the idea of labour intensity, often in a highly gendered context. I work mainly in mark making and textiles but also use writing to inform and underpin my practice.

A recent First Class Fine Art graduate. Sam Larter’s work is rooted in the everyday, the familiar and the ubiquitous. Her intention is to transform objects and materials using traditional art mediums such as plaster and paint. Often she will use discarded objects. Items that have been used and are no longer valued. Larter will manipulate these by dipping, bending, crumpling, draping or cutting.

I'm a painter living & working in County Kildare, Ireland. I feature native Irish plants in my work. I'm not that kind of a botanical artist that works to a strict scientific discipline. Rather I describe the beautiful forms and colours of these plants to convey an emotion or a message. My aim is to capture the essence of these plants within their natural environment.

I am a designer working exploring markmaking, colour and surface. Using lino cutting tools I carve leather and colour it with acrylics to create abstracted patterns and forms. Inspired by the world around me I work intuitively, each mark is made in response to the ones that come before dictating how the pieces evolve. I create objects, wall pieces and jewellery.
