    I have returned to working as an artist after a long career as a Mental Health Nurse and have rediscovered the joy that creating art can bring. I work primarily with printmaking, working from a group studio in the Rossendale Valley in Lancashire. My surroundings, amongst the valleys on the edges of the Pennines, inspire my use of foraged, natural materials in my work.

    I am a painter born and raised in the heart of Cumbria and currently based in West Yorkshire. I am enthusiastic about eduction, particularly art education and provision, and being outside. My practice is rooted in these two passions as well as a love of experimentation and play. I like to apply my painterly thought processes to exploring new medias and ideas, always aiming to create new ecologies.

    I am a graduate of Reading University and the RCA. Currently I have a studio at APT in Deptford, London. I have exhibited continuously since 1977 both in terms of static installations but more recently involving projection onto objects. These include reconstructions of the night sky and orreries using 00 scale model railways. An online catalogue of small works and movie shorts support this.

    I became a full-time Artist and Illustrator in 2012 after working for around 20 years in multimedia, E-learning and then corporate communications. Originally brought up on the East Yorkshire coast, I'm based in my home studio in the beautiful city of York now, working primarily in mixed media: painting, drawing and printmaking.

    I design and make mixed media jewellery from my workshop in Bingley, West Yorkshire. I work predominantly in silver but like to combine other, found materials to my work to add colour and interest.     In 1985 I graduated from Winchester School of Art specialising in textile design and printed surfaces. Following a solo career as a textile designer and printer I made a natural transition towards painting in 1997. In 2021 I decided to leave a specialist teaching post to become a full time painter and establish my practice and professional presence. I live and work in Ditchling, East Sussex

    A relative newcomer to the world of art. Winner of the King Lear Prize for Art (Beginners) 2023. Working mostly in acrylics and also pet pencil drawings. I have an eclectic range of paintings from pop art to seascapes, landscapes, cloud studies to flowers. Currently experimenting with pallet knife painting and achieving some interesting results.

    I am a textile artist using machine embroidery as my main medium. I work in my studio in Sheffield called 'Stitched Up and Fleeced'. I trained at Bolton Art College Foundation Course 1971-2 , Loughborough College of Art and Design Degree in Stitched Textiles 1975, PGCE Art and Design at Leicester 1976, Member of the Society of Designer Craftsmen since 1996 and awarded a Fellowship in 2013.
