    I've been working in education as a technician in various guises for over ten years. This has given me a wealth of knowledge and encounters that crosses specialist subject areas and allows me to bring in processes from different specialism into my art practice.     I'm a 53 year old Artist from Yorkshire, i Love to paint what is in my head. I do occasionally like to paint a portrait, usually a personality from a band.     Dex Hannon is a British interdisciplinary artist based in Blyth, North East England, UK, originally from Manchester. He is driven by transformation and reinvention, guided by the recurring simple question, “What else could it be?” where a single image can trigger a chain of works that migrate between mediums through repetition, revision and recontextualisation.

    A relative newcomer to the world of art. Winner of the King Lear Prize for Art (Beginners) 2023. Working mostly in acrylics but also in pencil. I have an eclectic range of artwork from pop art to seascapes, cloud studies and flowers to pencil drawings. Currently I am experimenting with pallet knife painting and achieving some interesting results.
