    Janes practice combines drawing, printmaking and embroidery. She works from her studio in Stockport, and exhibits regularly both nationally and internationally. Jane studied embroidered textiles at Goldsmiths college followed by postgraduate study at Manchester Polytechnic. Having lectured for 30 years at Manchester School of Art , Jane changed career in 2020 to become a full time artist.

    During total isolation, in lockdown, I painted over a 164 artworks up to date. I also took up meditation which allowed my imagination to flow again. It was cathartic and eased the trauma from what was happening in the outside world. Life is returning back to what was before, but with a greater sense of appreciating family and friends, united.

    I live in Knaresborough where I have a home studio. I graduated in Fine Art Painting at Wimbledon School of Art with a postgraduate at Goldsmiths University, London. I also studied printmaking at the Curwen Print Study Centre receiving my diploma from Sir Stanley Jones.
