    I am a neurobiologist by day and artist by night. I explore various topics directly impacting me like the emotional impact of chronic pain, the nature, and the science around me.     Every artwork is an invitation to pause. I don’t create paintings simply to be looked at. I create spaces to be entered. Mixed media, conceptual artist exploring emotional memory through textured abstraction, found objects and sculptural surfaces. Through painting, photography, travel or writing, create layered works that invite viewers to slow down, look deeper and discover what often unseen.

    Shona Davies and Jon Klein both studied at Sir John Cass College of Art where they graduated in 2007 with first class honours. They were also joint recipients of the Owen Rowley Prize and John Cass Purchase prize. Klein specialised in Time Based Media and Davies in Printmaking and 3-D. Dave Monaghan studied at Liverpool and Canterbury Colleges of Art where he specialised in sculpture.

    A disabled artist having to experiment using my non dominant hand, I love to capture a feeling or beauty within my art. Charcoal was the very first thing I picked up and I'm venturing from this trying to recycle my "canvas'" and drawing on anything I can find and reuse. I believe my art maintains a stylised appearance on account of the deliberation and consideration having to be factored in.

    I am a figurative sculptor working in the UK with gallery representation but now branching out into collaborative and site specific work. I use life casting to play along the spectrum of abstraction and figuration, often working in plaster and seeking ways of representing the human form that find beauty in the unusual or rarely appreciated. I also work in bronze both on a large and small scale.
