    I'm a self-taught artist who mostly dabbles in illustration and painting, My work is kitschy and bright, typically with feminist undertones. Representation is at the core of my practice, which is why I try and depictfolks of all intersections in my work. A large part of my ethos is creating more representation in the arts fordisabled folks, fat folks and queer folks.

    Painting landscapes has been an integral part to my artistic life all along. Land- and cityscapes seem to come into view particularly when we begin to lose traction with the mundane everydayness of things.     Peter is an international, award-winning, mixed media artist who uses both digital and conventional methods to create his art, including mobile photography (iPhone and iPad), acrylics, cyanotypes and gilding.     I am interested in exploring photography as ‘Inframedium’, playing with the boundaries of the photographic object, its material ‘nature’ and the visual possibilities that exist within it. Stripping away the ‘Apparatus’ of the camera and thus stepping out of the arena of the technical image, I am exploring a different set of gestures with which to reveal the material’s phenomenological potential.

    The surrounding areas of beautiful sea coastline are a constant source of inspiration in what I create. Where I live in Regional NSW is one of the elements that affects my artwork, it influences some of my decisions in what I choose to paint. I have recently gone back to portrait painting and exploring new techniques to achieve a balance of color and line work and happy with my results.
