    Katy works with Merino wool, using felting and embroidery to create landscape stories. Changing skies, seasons and rural scenes inspire her beautiful pictures. She is currently making wearable accessories and clothing using the same techniques. Katy has exhibited her work for some years and can be found at local artisan fairs and shops. She is a member of the International Feltmakers Association.

    I am a UK based, mixed media artist working primarily in encaustic. Alongside my art practice, I promote and educate about this 2500 year old technique, determined that this ancient medium experience a resurgence in the UK as it has in the USA. My process involves building up layers of encaustic paint (molten beeswax, tree sap and pigment) on wood, adding fire to fuse (bond) the layers together.

    I was born in 1968 in Bridgend, Wales, where I am currently based. I retired in 2024 after a long and distinguished career as a Registered Nurse and am now focussing on developing my career as an artist having demonstrated a love and talent for art from a very young age.

    I’m a contemporary artist creating vibrant, textured landscapes inspired by peaceful woods and delicate light. With a First-Class BA Hons in Fine Art painting and printmaking, I now work from my studio in the Peak District.     Sarah completed a degree in textile design and worked as a colourist and print designer for several years before taking up her career in Education. Although not formally trained in the Fine Arts, she uses her knowledge of print and colour to create her own unique style. She travels with her sketchbook to remote places seeking areas of solace for inspiration.

    Drawing and writing. Sometimes curating things and publishing as well. I worked for a long while with mould making, casting, printmaking and illustration and these things crop up occasionally still but more as occasional mediums. I trained in traditional painting, drawing and life casting techniques, then studied Fine Art.

    I'm a painter of nature, climate, weather and natural phenomenon using recessive colours, working in Norfolk, UK. My work is associated with embracing the shadow side of the natural world, themes of non self, and a deep concern for the state of the climate. I predominantly use oil forlandscapes and seascapes with a tight four colour palette, which shifts slowly over time.
