    Based in Stroud, Gloucestershire, Sarah Dixon is a socially-engaged conceptual artist using a broad range of media to create participatory works.     Jayaargh, the working name of John Rowlinson, artist and printmaker. He has been working mainly in print, using a variety of methods including lino, drypoint etching, monotypes and cyanotypes. Currently making a series of works using the Polaroid Lift process.

    Biography and approach I am born in 1983 in Lausanne (Switzerland). Living and working in Leeds (UK), since 2016. Achieved a BA in Fine Art at the HKB in Bern (CH) and an MA in Fine Art in 2014, at HEAD in Geneva (CH). In 2018, I achieved an MA in Performance Art at Leeds Beckett University, in the UK. I work as an artist individually and collaboratively on projects or in collectives.

    I graduated from the Royal college of Art 2001. As an artist I am interested in the fugitive relationship between the sublime, the abject, and contemporary perceptions of beauty. I am interested in exploring form and material structure to expand the boundaries, physical presence , and significance of painting, and in this context its potency as a vehicle for metaphor and ideas.
