    I am a multi-media artist based in Yorkshire working in sculpture, performance, photography, video, printmaking and artist’s books. Much of my work is inspired by and takes place in, the landscape around me. Often I am the only audience for my on-site installations, works translated into artist’s books and digitally printed images, crossing the boundary between documentary and primary artwork.

    Graduating in 1987 from Maidstone College of Art, with a Fine Arts BA (hons) degree I entered the world of teaching after gaining a PGCE at Bretton hall. My role as art teacher rapidly developed to head of department, head of faculty, to becoming an AST, and deputy head at a SEND School, Recently I was a teacher of nurture after 2 years of art, photography, teaching before retiring in Dec 2024

    I am a self taught artist who enjoys using acrylic and watercolours to create bright beautiful paintings. I take a lot of my inspiration from nature and geometrical patterns and enjoy experimenting with abstract themes as well.

    I am a visual artist who creates drawing and paintings that explore and express acrobatic movement and embodied experience. In 2022/23, I awarded Arts Council England funding for my project ‘ProPriOception’.     I am by definition an abstract artist who mainly specialises in painting. I use acrylic paint and mixed media to create my artworks, typically on large abandoned photographs, paper or canvas. The general theme behind my work is rooted in environmental issues and explores the contrasts between a natural existence and a synthetic environment that many of us find ourselves living in.

    Becky comes from an artistic and literary background. She is based in Brixham Devon. She studied art in the early seventies but was diverted by literature and, latterly, the social development of adolescents. The research undertaken for her MA reconnected her to her own adolescence, young motherhood and its influences. Becky is a fine artist, painting mostly in acrylic, gouache and ink block.

    Based in West Wales, I am a bilingual artist who has earned a successful living over the past twenty years within the creative arts by competing for both public sited artwork commissions and artist-in-residencies throughout Wales and England.
