    I am an artist and freelance curator. I hold an MA in Contemporary Curation from Norwich University of the Arts. I have been sculpting professionally since 2011. My work is figurative and inspired by folklore and the natural world. I work mainly in paperclay, recycled materials and mixed media. I teach workshops in paperclay sculpting.

    I am a fine artist focussing on painting drawing and printing, with a particular enduring interest and fascination in colour. I find the Yorkshire Dales a particular inspiration. My main subjects are colourfield, landscape, still life and figurative.

    I have been painting and exhibiting since 1998 and spent 12 years in Vietnam where I owned a gallery. I am so happy to be back in my native Yorkshire.     My work touches on themes of belonging, mythology, memory, identity and the female gaze. In my creative practice, I enjoy exploring the symbolism behind water, waterlilies, lotus flowers, landscapes and the female body. I believe that my mixed heritage has been a rich source of material to work with, as I experiment with oil paint and mixed media on canvas.
