I am currently in my 2nd year of BA (Hons) Fine Art at Lancaster university. My practice is primarily focused around sculpture and installation, but my wide range of skills across a number of media allows my work to often fall into a multi-media catagory. My work is heavily abstract-expressionist.

I am interested in exploring photography as ‘Inframedium’, playing with the boundaries of the photographic object, its material ‘nature’ and the visual possibilities that exist within it. Stripping away the ‘Apparatus’ of the camera and thus stepping out of the arena of the technical image, I am exploring a different set of gestures with which to reveal the material’s phenomenological potential.

My practice concerns the public's engagement of colour and consumerism. Colour being a fundamental aspect of daily existence, as the overlook RGB composition on our television sets. Learning from the laws of scientific research to place within a context of contemporary art. Then the aspect of consumerism becomes fascinating, as colour psychology is apparent within commercial spaces.

Artist Jane Elizabeth Bennett’s practice is an examination of the world in which she finds her self. To her, existence is filled with systems of discontinuity. Memories that fade, language that is inadequate and places that continually fracture and reform.
